Troubleshooting
Common errors and how to fix them.
- “Missing permissions”
- The bot lacks a permission, or its highest role is below the role or member it acts on. Move the bot's role up in Server Settings → Roles.
- “Missing access”
- The bot cannot see that channel. Check the channel's permission overrides.
- “Could not DM that member”
- The member blocks DMs from server members. Use an error path to post in a channel instead.
- The bot shows “Needs attention”
- Read the message on the bot's overview. Usually the token was reset (paste the new one in Bot settings) or a privileged intent was turned off.
- A new command doesn't appear
- Check it is published and the bot is online. Discord can take a few seconds; restart your Discord client if it still doesn't show.
- “This is no longer active”
- A button was clicked but no published event handles its ID. Publish an event with the matching ID.
